Whenever there is a case discussed in the mainstream involving rape or child sexual abuse, there is outrage, protests, polarizations, a surge of media frenzy, a call for reform, and honest real despair from individual citizens. And then? Nothing.

The Rakshin Project addresses the underlying issue and poses a sustainable solution to Prevent Sexual Violence and Child Sexual Abuse. The project, with a pro bono partnership with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India, aims to work with 4 Million Youth across 40,000 colleges pan India to raise a generation of responsible and accountable adults who can prevent harm and are equipped to create a constitutional rights-based enabled environment.

The Rakshin Project is a gender-transformative initiative to prevent Gender Based Violence with a special focus on Child Sexual Abuse, pan India. The programme aspires to end Child Sexual Abuse within families and communities by building the capacities of youth to address systemic and everyday forms of Violence within families. The enrolled youth will act to strengthen their family unit and extended communities to Prevent Child Sexual Abuse.
