Gifts in Wills

Leaving a gift for Sakshi in your will is a powerful way to leave your legacy to build a Responsible and Accountable India. Every gift, no matter how big or small, plays an important role in our long-term goals, helping us plan well into the future. Gifting in Wills is a fairly simple process given that your decision already has the support from your family and loved ones. There are three main ways to make a Gift in Will to Sakshi:

  • Gift an Amount : You can make a specific bequest by simply stating the amount (in any Currency) in your will that you wish to leave for Sakshi.

  • Gift an Asset(s) : You may wish to make a gift of a specific asset (E.g. Personal Belongings, Books, Electronics, Property & Real Estate, Investments etc.) by stating it in your will.

  • Gift a Residual Amount / Asset(s) : You can make a gift of the remainder or percentage (residue) of an amount or asset once the gifts to your loved ones and other expenses have been taken care of.

Your solicitor will be able to assist you to craft your Will. Here are a few tips:

  • Your Will must be in writing (handwritten, printed or typed) and include specific wording.

  • It must be signed and dated on every page.

  • Your signature must be witnessed by two people who are not named as beneficiaries of your estate.

  • They both need to sign their own name on every page of your Will.

  • Suggested Wording: “I, [insert name], bequeath to SAKSHI (S-23515) registered office 665/2, Ghitorni Village, Near MCD School, Ghitorni, New Delhi – 110030 [insert the percentage or residue of your estate, the amount of money, or the details of assets you wish to leave]. My bequest is to be used for the general purposes of SAKSHI. I declare that the receipt of an executive officer at the time shall be a sufficient discharge of my executor’s duty.”
